Message of Principal
Dear Parents and Students, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our college website and also welcome you to this growing institution. As the Principal, I am hugely impressed by the commitment of the management and the staff for providing excellent all-round education for our students in our state of the art facilities. I feel proud to be a Principal of Pijush Kanti Mukherjee Mahavidyalaya (PKMM), a college in a rural and economically backward area of Alipurduar district in West Bengal. I feel it's my foremost duty to lead my team to ignite the young minds with zeal & enthusiasm and an instable quest for knowledge. The institution has been established in the year 2015 as a Grants – in-Aid State Government-sponsored college and it has started its journey with B.A General course with vibrant co-curricular programme that includes sports, NSS, Yoga education, skill enhancement courses. Our mission is to inculcate the love of knowledge in our students and, for this, we aim to develop the skills and demeanour of lifelong ‘learning,’ essential for making responsible global citizens. This will make them immensely capable of facing the future with resilience and optimism. On the deeper level, we try to instil the values of respect and trust in relationships that are the foundation of real success. We believe that ‘education’ is a wholesome, holistic exercise and as such we strive to give a whole new meaning to the word. We are constantly improving our teaching methodology so that it turns learning into combination of classroom study, research and scientific discovery. To the end, I like to quote the following word:
